| The mission of the Northwest Choirs is to provide the highest level of music education and vocal performance opportunity to the children and young adults of the Pacific Northwest region, and to contribute to the cultural life of the community by providing access to a unique choral resource. The Northwest Choirs is committed to being the finest choir of its kind in the region and among the finest in the nation. The Northwest Choirs achieves this by recruiting and training the most talented young people in the area and by engaging its participants in the mastery of choral music with an emphasis on musicianship, self-discipline, teamwork, commitment, and professional behavior. Founded in 1971, and incorporated as a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization in 1974, the Northwest Choirs is committed to making its programs accessible to young people regardless of religion, social background, or financial situation. |
